What is the Role:
Full time MIG/TIG Welder/Fitter for an industrial grade Bakery Equipment Manufacturer. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, welders perform GMAW and GTAW welding processes on a variety of materials such as formed sheet metal components, round tube/pipe/bar, structural square/rectangular tubing, and various C channels in stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum applications. https://geminibakeryequipment.com/
Who you are:
- Welds in accordance with WPS on carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum alloys using GTAW and GMAW processes
- Cuts, grinds, and otherwise prepares material as required by job
- Uses forklifts, cranes, or other work lifting devices. Basic rigging knowledge a plus
- Interprets measurements and verifies dimensions
- Ensures working environment is clean and safe
- Drives improvement by participating in Blueprint Redlining process
- Experienced with creating subassemblies and finished assemblies from a collection of parts and drawings
- Proficient in GTAW welding on 16ga Stainless Steel
- Reliably and efficiently creates finished goods to specifications detailed on Blueprints
What You Bring:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) would be a plus
- 5 + years’ experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable
- Ability to interpret and read blueprints and engineering drawings
- Ability to lift 50+ plus lbs.
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands, and able to deal with shifting priorities, delays, or unexpected customer needs.
- Needs a strong appreciation of the importance of completing tasks on time
