Job Title: Mechanical Project Engineer
Location: Gemini Philadelphia PA facility
Objectives: Technical management and Design Engineering support on Gemini Projects and Service tasks

Technical support of Gemini Manufacturing and Supplier base
Reports to: VP Technical Services
Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Implement of electro-mechanical equipment and systems in support of Gemini projects and Service tasks,
    including specification of equipment, both proprietary and vendor supplied, development of general arrangement
    and detail drawings, bills of materials, requisitions, and the development of instruction, operation, and
    maintenance manuals, including spare parts lists, as necessary.
  • Meet schedule milestones for engineering deliverables associated with Gemini Projects and Service
  • Maintain current proprietary product designs by updating components as necessary due to obsolescence or
    improved technology
  • Assist in the implementation of customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the
    feasibility, cost, manufacturing and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
  • Work with manufacturing personnel and supplier resources to resolve equipment design or manufacturing issues
  • Technical hands-on management of Gemini Projects and Service tasks to final solution
  • Maintain equipment compliance with all engineering and safety standards, accepted practices, company policies
    and procedures
  • Generate and process ECN documentation
  • Travel as required to customer and supplier sites as well as Gemini Bangor PA and York PA facilities (est 20%).
  • Perform related duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or A.S. with equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in design and development, including implementation of detailed drawings.
  • Knowledge of weldments, sheet metal and machining processes.
  • Proficient in SOLIDWORKS, working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5 GD&T Standards.
  • Experience/familiarity with engineering change notice processes
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and
    external customers
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing
    exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently or in a collaborative environment to carry out assignments to completion within
    parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Experience within an MRP controlled environment
  • Valid driver’s license
