Assembly Technician

What is the Role:
Assembly Tech is responsible for proper and complete assembly of all products. This position reports directly to the Plant Supervisor.
Who you are:
In this role you will
• Using engineering prints will be assembling components.
• Interpret engineering prints, and BOM’s, to determine proper steps and tools required to assemble a quality product.
• Install electrical and pneumatic components on assemblies.
• Test finished products to verify proper form, fit, and function.
• Use all standard shop tools: saws, grinders, drills, and iron worker. Tube and sheet rolling experience is a plus.
• Adhere to standard work, standard quality, and shop safety procedures.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 or more years in a “made-to-order” manufacturing environment with direct supervision experience.
• Ability to interpret and read engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOM).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands, and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
• Needs a strong appreciation of the importance of completing tasks on time with excellent attention to detail.
• Must be able to sit, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs in a non-repetitive environment.
• Must be able to read and write in fluent English
What Else Would Be Helpful:
• Familiarity with electro-mechanical systems, 24 VDC control systems, and pneumatic components
• Background in bakery equipment manufacturing
• Conveyor and conveyor system manufacturing experience
• TIG welding of stainless steel
