What is the Role:

Our company is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Assembly Technician to produce various components for an industrial grade bakery equipment manufacturer.  Under the general direction of the Assembly Lead, this position will be directly responsible for contributing to the success of all projects.  The ideal candidate will have some previous manufacturing experience, excellent communication skills, and a high degree of mechanical aptitude. Who you are:

• Assemble equipment by fastening, strapping, integrating, and wiring componentry
• Read and interpret mechanical & electrical schematics to assemble components to an expected result
• Use overhead cranes and forklifts to handle large materials and aid in the assembly, as well as disassembly, of components
• Employee must remain flexible to work in a support role for adjacent departments (ie; Fab/Weld, Machine Shop, Paint, and Shipping/Receiving) to maintain level workloads across plant production
• Communicate issues to the Assembly Lead and exhibit an enthusiasm to engage in the remedial action
• Must be able to follow and execute instructions with precision and a consistent level of detail
• Should be familiar with bearing assemblies, transmission systems, structural construction, sheet metal construction, and common electrical systems
• Use various devices to troubleshoot and conduct quality checks (ie; tape measure, caliper, micrometer, multimeter)

• Maintain an ongoing commitment and involvement in the quality improvement process
• Champion a safety-first environment

• Employee must be able to furnish their own tools
• May be occasionally required to travel and work at alternate/customer sites (0-20%)
• Other duties as required

What You Bring:

• Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical assembly experience
• Knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, and layout and machine tolerances.
• Troubleshooting abilities necessary

• 3 years working experience in a manufacturing environment
• 2 years working experience in machine building
• Ability to interpret and read blueprints and engineering drawings

• Ability to lift 50 plus pounds frequently, occasionally 75lbs
• High School Diploma or equivalent
